Things about me

Mark and I have been married since May 2002 and live in Sutton in South London, near to where Mark used to work. Mark's got a page of wedding photos if you're interested.

I love dancing and have done since I started classes when I was really little. I've danced in Oxford University Dance Company and now dance at SCOLA and with the Doris Holford Stage School. My favourite companies are the Rambert Dance Company and Siobhan Davies Dance Company; sort of contemporary style but with strong technique behind them. Mark has recently got me running with him too in an attempt to keep me fit.

I'm a Christian and go to St. Patrick's Church in Wallington. Mark and I lead Pathfinders there, a youth group for 11-14s and are part of the team that organises the Sunday evening meetings, called LifeTime. We're also involved in the music every now and again, which means I get to sing an d occassionally play piano... another preoccupation of mine, although I don't get as much time to play as I might like. Another thing we do is Livewires, a Scripture Union summer camp for 12-15s. And we try to go to Word Alive at Easter each year with some old friends (it's a good opportunity to catch up and to take in without having to give out at the same time).

All of the above takes up most of my free time but I sometimes get a chance to be creative too; I like to make order out of chaos or, more simply, useful things out of junk. I don't really have an artistic eye in the traditional sense so it's normally crafty-type things, like glass painting, jewelry-making, sewing and card making.
